Eco-warriors at Eden Early Years!

Our approach is rooted in a deep respect for nature and a commitment to sustainability, helping children develop an early understanding of caring for the world around them.

Our Nature Ethos & Sustainable Values

Nature-based learning is woven into our daily experiences, allowing children to explore, discover, and learn through hands-on interaction with the natural world. We encourage curiosity, environmental awareness, and a sense of responsibility through meaningful, real-life experiences.

Our setting is designed with sustainability in mind. We aim to be plastic-free and paper-free wherever possible, choosing eco-friendly alternatives that reduce waste and support a healthier planet. Children play with beautiful wooden toys, natural materials, and open-ended resources, inspiring creativity while remaining environmentally conscious.

We also benefit from a nearby allotment, where children take part in gardening, growing food, and outdoor exploration. These experiences help children understand where food comes from and foster a connection to nature.

Our nursery has been recently renovated with sustainability at its heart, creating a calm, nurturing, and environmentally responsible space for children to thrive.

Space to Explore & Learn

At Eden Early Years, children are not limited to just one room. They enjoy access to multiple learning environments, offering more space, more variety, and richer opportunities for exploration and development.

We believe learning extends beyond the nursery walls. With access to our minivan, children regularly take part in outings that support real-world learning and independence. We enjoy frequent visits to local farms, and we are members of the Bristol Zoo Project, allowing children ongoing opportunities to learn about animals, conservation, and the natural world in meaningful ways.

By combining sustainable values, nature-led learning, and rich outdoor experiences, we empower children to grow as confident, caring, and environmentally aware individuals.
